“These are some paintings of Plaice Cove, the Ice Pond in NH and Kresge and Pemaquid Point, around John’s Bay in Maine. Trying to catch that special Summer sunlight on the coast of Maine and New Hampshire. Those pale blue skies with a minimum of clouds and a stormy foggy day are tough to capture on the canvas. My neighbor, author Juan Enriquez, recently made the comment that Maine is tough to paint...he is right as rain but at the end of the day isn’t that the beauty of the challenge.”
